A warm sunny early morning is the perfect time to get out and about in St Albans, if you have a dog it is the perfect excuse to have a bit of a quiet time and enjoy your environment. Walking the dog is a daily ritual for many owners and probably the highlight of the day for the hound.
It’s interesting to note that British dog owners go that extra mile on average, going on 433 walks a year, covering a distance of 548 miles which is equivalent of Land's End, Cornwall to John O'Groats, Scotland. It may be good to have some me time and as any dog owner will know their pet is the perfect listener - with half a recent dog owners survey respondents admitting they tell their canine companion ALL when alone. And if you’re not talking to your dog, you are talking to someone else about your dog - Brits spend nearly four hours a week talking about hounds to others people!
To help take care of the much loved family friend St Albans is lucky to have a range of pet shops that include 24 year old family businesses like Partners Pet Supermarkets, run by pet lovers for pet lovers. Unlike many other pet retailers they have never and will never sell animals. They focus on promoting responsible pet ownership and have years of expertise to help you care for your pets giving them the healthiest, happiest lives possible – and for dogs many years of early morning walks in and around St Albans.
