Snow sports off St Albans Hill

Living in St Albans or Harpenden means you are just a short hop from Stansted and all the snowy opportunities in Europe. If you have a ski holiday booked you can also get some practice in at Britain’s newest indoor ski centre that delivers the “alpine conditions every skier and snowboarder dream of,” on your doorstep in Hemel Hempstead.
At the Snow Centre it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or an expert or anything in between, they will have a ski lesson for you to help prepare you for the real slopes. They have a huge 160m main slope as well as the largest indoor ski lesson slope in the UK. Both the ski and snowboarding slopes are over 30m wide. They pride themselves on maintain the best snow surface for quality indoor skiing and snowboarding needs.
Of course there is also some après ski, off the slopes they have an alpine themed restaurant. Called The Lodge Bar & Kitchen it offers panoramic views over the snow and has a menu with traditional favourites and delicious alpine dishes too. You can use this facility even if you are not skiing as they have a wide range of lift passes available.
So before you head off for your ski trip even if you are a seasoned pro or just beginning your snow sports journey or a small person who simply wants to whizz down the brand new Ringo Slide a few times, you’ll find all you need just off St Albans Hill at The Snow Centre.
