Get Singing in St Albans

There can be no doubt of the physical and emotional benefits of singing and if you have been putting off singing this Autumn might be the time to start. If you join a local choir you also get all the social benefits of singing in a group and getting involved with your wider community.
In St Albans you are spoilt for choice. If you love classical music the St Albans Choral Society is a large friendly choir that might work for you. They rehearse on Thursday evenings and perform classical music, both traditional and composers. They put on at least four concerts a year and the spring concert is performed in the Abbey.
On Thursday 14th September 2017 they have and open rehearsal learning the Duruflé Requiem for you to come along a try out for St Albans Choral Society: Open Rehearsal

If popular music is more your thing The St Albans’ Singers are looking for singers of all abilities. Founded in 2015, this friendly group perform songs from Musicals, Pop Classics and Traditional songs with their Singing Leader, David Meek. The St Albans Singers meet on Friday from 11:00 – 12:00, in school term time, at Trestle Arts Base, Russet Drive, St Albans, AL4 0JQ.
You can try a free taster session with this audition-free open to all abilities. They say they are “for singers, for those who think they are not singers, those who don’t read music or have any previous experience, those who care and people who are cared for.”
