There was no entry charge to Harpenden Classics on the Common for spectators. The event was organised and run by Rotary members and their volunteers and they welcomed voluntary donations in aid of their charities. The owners of any vehicle on display also made a donation for the privilege of displaying their vehicle as well as the opportunity to contribute to their charitable causes. Last year Harpenden Classics on the Common raised £33,000 for local, National and International charities. (The main beneficiaries were Spotlight on Africa, Herts Action on Disability, Keech Children's Hospice and Motor Neurone Disease Association.)
