Stay at home mum?

May 2nd 2016

St Albans is such a brilliant place to bring up children and with its proximity to London it makes the commuting day so much shorter.  But more and more of us choose to stay closer to home when the children are young, and some run their business from home.

One organisation that offers support for Mums thinking of working from home or already running a business from home is Mums UnLtd launched in Hertfordshire in 2011.  Their objectives are simple “to provide you with inspiration, support, information, contacts and connections to help you succeed”. “Our networking groups welcome children along and start between 9.30am-10am and finishes from 11.30am. This means if you have a child at playgroup or nursery you can fit in some networking around your child.”

The St Albans Mums UnLtd  business networking is a Business Networking Group it was the second group to be added in 2012 and is a relaxed networking session where you will gain business leads, support and information. If you haven’t been before each session has a bit of a format, it starts with open networking until 10am followed by 1 minute introductions where you can share your business and tell everyone what help you need this month and then after a short break the chance to get some great tips or information in our mini workshop slot.

This month St Albans guest speaker to Clare Rudd from Elvia Marketing. You can find out more about Clare here: www.elviamarketing.co.uk

The next St Albans Mums meet is on 11th May 20126 9.30-11.30 at Forest Town Church.
