Outdoor cinema at Highfield Park

It may not be a drive-in but watching cinema outside on a lovely summers evening is a real pleasure. Once again, for only two nights, Highfield Park, situated on the south eastern side of St Albans in Hertfordshire, will host the fabulous Luna open air cinema this summer.
On Thursday 6th July Moulin Rouge (2001, 12A, 127mins) will play the doors open 7:45pm and the film starts at 9:15pm.  Then on Wednesday 26th July Romeo + Juliet (1996, 12A, 120mins) will be screened, the doors open 7:30pm for the film to play at 9pm. The park and its beautiful leafy Hertfordshire setting is quite unusual in that rather than being financed and managed by the local council, it is a dedicated charity, the Highfield Park Trust, that manages the park. To help support the trust £1.50 from each ticket sale will go directly to the charity.
The event is delivered by Luna Cinema who are the UKs leading producer of open air cinema events.  Their screenings follow a simple formula:  a classic film on a big screen in a beautiful or prestigious setting.  They use state of the art screens, digital   projectors and bespoke sound equipment to provide a cinema quality visual and audio experience. They believe a brilliant cinematic experiences, is enhanced by the setting in which you experience the film and Highfield Park is no exception.  Make sure you book early to get your place at St Albans' most exciting open air cinema experience.
