Midnight Mass at St Albans Cathederal on the night of 24th December and into the morning of 25th December 2019 is the first celebration of Christmas in St Albans centre. The Abbey is such a hub for the city it is a wonderful place to start your family Christmas with carols and music sung by the beautiful voices of the St Albans Abbey Choir. St Albans Cathedral, Sumpter Yard, St Albans, AL1 1BY

If you are unable to make Midnight Mass at St Albans Cathedral but can imaging the wonderful atmosphere and the joy of the choir and the organ maybe you could think of supporting the Cathedral as a Christmas present to the city.

The Cathedrals organ was built in 1962 and the magnificent Harrison & Harrison organ is at the heart of the Cathedral’s musical life. It contains over 4,500 pipes, varying from half an inch to 32 feet, each pipe plays its part in producing the glorious mixture of sounds that the organ produces. Pipe adoption allows you to support the Cathedrals Music Trust - it aims to continue the ongoing restoration of the organ and protect the Cathedral’s music for future generations.

From just £25, you can adopt an organ pipe. 1ft-2ft pipe £25 | 2ft-4ft pipe £75| 8ft pipe or more £150-£1000. This can be as a personal donation, as a gift for family or friends, or in memory of a loved one. Adoption levels range from £25 to £1000. All adoptions include a dedication or gift message and you or your chosen recipient will receive a personalised adoption pack with a certificate and details of your adopted feature.
