We often say that St Albans is rich and diverse in all the activities and clubs that it has on offer and if gardening is not your thing perhaps the next Mid Herts Bonsai Club Bonsai Show can change your mind. It’s on over the first weekend in June and includes displays of member’s trees of all styles and species, demonstrations. At the even you have the opportunity to bring any Bonsai tree you may have along to the tree “Doctor”.
The event takes place at Kingsbury Barn, Kingsbury Mews, Branch Road, St. Michaels Village, St. Albans, Hertfordshire AL3 4SE on Saturday 3 Jun 2017 and Sunday 4 Jun 2017 and is open from 11am to 5pm both days. The event is free of charge. Alongside the display and the Bonsai Doctor you can enter Mid Herts Bonsai Club raffle to win a Bonsai and have guided tours of the Kingsbury Barn. There will also be a trade stall so you could buy your own Bonsai tree or Bonsai accessories and of course there will be a refreshment table of hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes.
Mid Herts Bonsai Club was founded in 1984 and meets on the first Wed of the month. The meetings are generally based around a workshop, talk or demonstration from club members or guest speakers. Members are encouraged to bring their trees to the workshops where advice and guidance is always available. The club has a small library of Bonsai books and magazines that are available on free loan to members.
