There is always the annual St Albans fireworks in Verulamium Park but Harpenden rugby Club also puts on a good show. They host fireworks, a bonfire, a funfair, great food and bar. Tickets cost £8 for adults and £5 for a child ticket with a family ticket costing £25. Parking is limited at the club, so it can be a good idea to take the courtesy bus from Church Green, Harpenden.
If you are thinking of moving to Harpenden or St Albans getting involved in community events and clubs is a must when finding your feet. Going to Harpenden rugby club fireworks could also help you find out more about the club. Rugby is a great sport enjoyed by many and offers a great social calendar alongside the sport. Even if you don’t have son’s rugby is no longer a sport just for men.
Participation in women's rugby has doubled in the past 10 years, and Harpenden Ladies RFC is now in into its fifth year. Harpenden currently offers rugby for girls aged 12 upwards and are keen to establish a senior ladies team to provide continuity for the club. They currently have squads at Under 13 (school years 6-8), Under 15 (school years 9-10) and Under 18 (school years 11-13). Beyond 18 the girls can play senior rugby for our newly formed senior team the Harpenden Bad Habits.
The emphasis for the younger girls at Harpenden RFC is to provide a fun and enthusiastic environment for them to be introduced to rugby. They have found a lot of girls thrive within the rugby ethos and consequently gain in maturity and self-confidence. Equally the camaraderie that the girls develop means that some of these girls will be friends for life it is a sport that creates a special unbreakable bond of friendship. Even more reasons for moving to Harpenden.
