Enjoy Oxjam in St Albans

Oxjam is the largest grassroots music festival in the UK and on the 29th October, Oxjam will be coming to St Albans.  It operates as a multi-venue festival featuring local musicians and all proceeds from the festival are donated to the work of Oxfam.

Oxjam began in 2006, with the aim of creating a network of music-loving people across the UK, all united by a shared goal to raise money to fight poverty and suffering around the world. 11 years on they are still going strong, with hundreds of incredible gigs taking place each October.

The great thing about Oxjam is the diversity of the events on offer. Over the years they have had several high profile celebrity supporters, including Jarvis Cocker, Fatboy Slim, Damon Albarn, Hot Chip, 2manydjs and more. But at its heart Oxjam remains a grassroots festival, with thousands of volunteers celebrating music in their local communities.
Locally The Mighty Orchid King join the line-up for Oxjam St Albans this year! They'll be headlining our Main Stage at the Horn on 29th October. "The Mighty Orchid King is Jonny, Pete, Martin and Michael, released their debut EP, Nothing Ever Happened, in 2017, a self-produced effort which fuses Antipodean psych with dense Laurel Canyon harmonies."
Connor Wells is the final headliner for Oxjam St Albans Festival. He's playing the final slot at, The Peacock St Albans "Connor Wells is an Folk Singer Songwriter who grew up listening to the likes of Nick Drake, Tom Petty And Ryan Adams who have played an influential role in shaping his signature sound."
