The English spring has finally sprung, buds are bursting, birds are filling St Albans and Harpenden parks and woodlands. Getting out more for a spring stroll around St Albans and Harpenden is a must. Visiting local areas on foot is a great way to get to know a place especially if you are thinking of moving to the area.

In St Albans and Harpenden half term is on the horizon. Schools in and around the area are really good. Many Londoner’s make the move to St Albans and Harpenden to give their families more freedom. As well as great schools and there is always plenty to do during the holidays.

If you would like to be inspired by science in St Albans make sure you go along on 29th January 2020 at 7:00 pm in the St Albans Museum and Gallery Learning Studio. There a science talk will be held exploring and celebrating the scientists who have lived and worked in St Albans and the wider district.

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, the death of Anne Frank and the end of the Second World War. To commemorate these three historic events, St Albans Cathedral will be hosting the unique Anne Frank + You exhibition, a touring exhibition produced by the Anne Frank Trust UK.

Midnight Mass at St Albans Cathederal on the night of 24th December and into the morning of 25th December 2019 is the first celebration of Christmas in St Albans centre.

There are a host of Halloween and Guy Fawkes events to enjoy in St Albans and Harpenden at this time of year but the city is always good at offering that little bit more. From Monday 28th October 2019 until Friday 1st November 2019 you will be able to take a journey to the moon and stars in the heart of St Albans.

If you live in St Albans or Harpenden or plan on visiting them don’t forget their Farmers Markets. Both locations have some of the best farmers markets in Hertfordshire regularly bringing you the best of seasonal local produce and a host of other delights.

There really is something for everyone who moves to St Albans and Harpenden. St Albans Comic-Con is there for those who love the comic conventions. On the 14th July 2019 at the well-equipped Alban Arena, Civic Centre St. Albans AL1 3LD from 10 am until 4.30pm St Albans Comic-Convention returns for another year.

As the festival season comes into sight St Albans Street Festival brings the festival spirit to your doorstep if you live in St Albans or Harpenden. On the 23rd June 2019 a street festival celebrating all that is fun and fabulous about St Albans City on the feast day of St Alban. The day has also been known as the Alban Street Festival, and as ever 2019 promises to be a great day out for all the family!
