The Harpenden Arts Club exhibition held at Harpenden Public Halls (Southdown Room), Southdown Road, Harpenden., AL5 1TE runs from Friday 8th November 2019 until Sunday 10th November 2019 from 10 am to 5 pm (to 4 pm only on the Sunday).
If you are a Harpenden or St Albans art lover you will be inspired. But if it’s not for you then perhaps you could take your children along to be inspired. The fabulous local art exhibition is a chance to see and discuss art in a huge range of styles and different types of media, used by around 50 artists from Harpenden and the surrounding area. There will be more than 250 artworks on display with some of the work for sale, ranging from serene watercolours to loose, splashy mixed media and acrylic artworks, with subjects covering the whole spectrum between representational and abstract and skilful pencil and pastel paintings, in a showcase of art that will surely engage and inspire all viewers
The Harpenden Arts Club runs all year round and they aim to provide a wide range of creative workshops, demonstrations, life drawing and studio practice evenings, as well as a sociable meeting point for artists of all abilities. They meet most Thursday evenings at 7.30 - 9.30 pm in the small public hall on Southdown Road, Harpenden, AL5 1PD through the darker months from September to May. Living in Harpenden or St Albans offers so many opportunities to get involved in a whole range of activities.
If you are not quite ready to pick up a brush yourself why not at least have a go at being an art critic. Its great fun with the children you can go round the Harpenden Art Club Exhibition asking them what inspires them or what feeling they get from any particular artwork?
