Track Play in Harpenden

Coming to Roundwood Primary School, Roundwood Lane, Harpenden, AL53AD on Sunday 12th January 2020 from 9:45 am - 1:20 pm will be Track Play in Harpenden.

Roundwood Primary school likes to equip its pupils with “the skills and experiences necessary to move on to the next stage of their education as confident, happy individuals who have fostered a love of learning that will last a lifetime.”

They pride themselves on strong links with all members of our community and they like to work in partnership as pupils, parents, Governors, teachers and staff. Sometimes that includes inviting a whole range of visitors into the Harpenden School to offer particular events.

One such event is the Track Plan. They say that when children and adults see our giant train tracks they are amazed. The children can't wait to play with the model motorised trains on the super-charged train tracks with all their favourite character trains. There will be tunnels, stations, spirals and bridges as part of the huge layout of tracks, so there will be many things for children to interact and play with, and plenty of space to enjoy watching the train’s race around the tracks. It is a great opportunity to have a huge collective play train track that is shared in the community. It not only brings people together is gets rid of the hassle of setting it all up and packing it all away at the end of the day if you were doing it in your own home.

At Track Play they like to keep things simple, so they issue E-Tickets, just come along on the day and they will scan your ticket or if you forget it check your name against our booking list. There are only a couple of rules. Children with long hair should have their hair tied back and as they know kids get excited around trains, the organisers ask that children don’t run around the track.
