Time for a laugh in St Albans - 24th March

There are too many worries in the modern world but Friday nights were made to kick back and get out.  What better activity than a comedy night to raise the spirits?  This Friday 24th March - Jon Richardson: The Old Man, a British Comedy Award nominee and star of Live At The Apollo and 8 Out Of 10 Cats is embarking on a Nationwide tour to complain about the state of the world and offer no solutions.
He has recently become a husband and father and has not toured since the UK voted to leave the EU and Donald Trump got elected, all of which leaves him asking one question, why does it seem that no one else alive can correctly load a dishwasher? Jon might be best known as team captain on ‘8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown’, but he has done loads more television and radio including; ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC ONE), ‘Live At The Apollo’ (BBC ONE), ‘Channel 4’s Comedy Gala Live At The 02’ and most recently ‘Taskmaster’ (DAVE). Jon Richardson say the critics, “is developing into a quietly sophisticated comedian who is at turns hilarious and disturbing and under no circumstances should you miss”‘ **** – The Mirror ‘one of our most individual and interesting stand-ups **** – The Times ‘Sublimely brilliant, stunning…. – Time Out
Jon’s show reminds that some of the best comedy touring acts make it to St Albans and play The Alban Arena coming up through May and June are Jimmy Carr, Reginald D Hunter, Rich Hall, Jenny Eclaire, Lee Nelson and many more.
