St Albans Pilgrimage 2021
Join St Albans Cathedral on Sunday 27 June for their annual Alban Pilgrimage celebrations. Giant carnival puppets reenact the story of Alban, Britain's first saint, the man after whom St Albans is named. Roman chariots, centurions, lions and roses all take their place alongside Alban and Amphibalus in a dramatic procession. This year, they will be reverting back to the original historical route, beginning at St Michael's Church, processing through Verulamium Park before reaching St Albans Cathedral.
All are welcome to join us for festivities throughout the day, from activities on the Abbey Orchard to our celebratory services.
