St Albans Christmas Cracker

Living in St Albans or Harpenden is always full of activity and fun like the St Albans Christmas Crackers which is taking place on Sunday the 17th November, where you can enjoy music and entertainment in the heart of St Albans City Centre. 

The event is free and open from 12-6 pm. During the St Albans Christmas Cracker, you can enjoy great food from a variety of traders, do some Christmas shopping at the craft and gift stalls, visit the Poppycock Winter Wonderland Bar, listen to the Christmas choirs and dance the afternoon away to local musicians. 

At Clock Tower Corner there will be circus workshops, street performers and musical entertainment. Between 12 and 6 pm, Santa’s Grotto & Workshop will be open. You can meet Santa and make your eco-friendly wrapping paper to take home. Santa’s workshop can be found at the Learning Studio of the St Albans Museum + Gallery and kindly supported by Rotary Club of St Albans-Verulamium and Aylett’s Nursery. Children’s Christmas Crafts will also be available. 

You will be able to grab the glitter and sparkles to make your own Christmas bauble to take home and hang on your tree! They will be open 12-6 pm or until supplies of glitter and sparkles run out. Make sure you are not too busy making, eating or shopping to take advantage of the festive photo opportunity at St Albans giant snow globe Open 12-5.45pm)for a. Photos can be taken by yourself or the event staff can take one for you free of charge.

The two music stages will have a full line up of local talent and you can enjoy the Winter Wonderland Bar. The magical Poppycock Winter Wonderland Bar will be there to warm you all up with mulled wine or luxury hot chocolate. But don’t’ get too comfortable or you might miss one of the magical moments. Throughout the St Albans Christmas Cracker, there will be several magical light moments for you to enjoy. Look out for these located by the gold stars on the map. The final magical moment is, of course, the lighting of the St Albans lights by the Mayor of St Albans.
