St Albans is full of good schools and one of the best St Albans School hosts Kings Summer Camps. St Albans School is an independent school in the heart of St Albans. Entry to the school before Sixth Form is for boys only, but the Sixth Form has been co-ed since 1991.
It’s a school with a long and distinguished history but their prime focus is to prepare of its students for the world of the future. They get outstanding examination results in the most demanding academic subjects for entry into leading universities, yet St Albans school believe that a good education goes way beyond examination grades.
The school has great facilities and that is why it is the perfect location for Kings Summer Camps. Kings are a registered charity whose aim is to get children active and have fun while learning together. For 25 years they have been creating fun summer programmes and their inspiring Red Tops are selected for their outgoing and energetic personalities, their dedication to child development and their ability to inspire children.
They apply firm supervision guidelines as a minimum The ratio for children under the age of six years is strictly 1:8 The ratio for children aged 6 – 7 years is strictly 1:12 The ratio for children aged 8+ years is 1:16 These ratios are increased further with the addition of the Site Manager and other helpers to ensure that all children are provided with lots of support and encouragement as they enjoy our range of activities. They are of course registered with Ofsted and all staff undertake their internationally recognised interview, reference, clearance and training process that covers essentials such as supervision, child protection and First Aid. Staff must have an up to date Disclosure Barring System (DBS) check.
