Hertfordshire’s largest free-to-enter art event is open again for three weeks.  This year nearly 130 artists and makers will be taking part from 9th September to 1st October 2017 inclusive. The event has been running for almost 30 years as artists and makers across Hertfordshire welcome visitors to this annual event.

Everyone from students, individuals to families, visitors of all ages and diverse interests are bound to find something for them, alongside a warm welcome, as they explore the wealth of talent and creativity across Hertfordshire. “Each year Open Studios is such an exciting event, both for the artists taking part and for our visitors,” said Herts Visual Arts Chair, Hillary Taylor, “Whatever our visitors interests, wherever they are, there’s bound to be somewhere local to visit, from individual studios to larger mixed groups.”

This year they have also gone a bit more digital and shifted format - the much sought-after Open Studios brochure is in a new A5 format. You can download it as a PDF from http://www.hvaf.org.uk/Open-Studios/Open-Studios-2017.  It is a brilliant resource for visitors full of information about all the Open Studios and the artists who are individually listed. You can also look out for free printed brochures that will available across public locations in Hertfordshire.

Alongside a quite browsing of the work at many events you can expect to find artists ready to demonstrate or talk about their work in many cases there will also be, refreshments. For more information about accessibility you can see the printed brochure or the website.
