Have you entered the Herts Big Weekend ballot yet?

For its second year The Herts Big Weekend returns on 1st and 2nd April 2017. Offering a range of amazing free opportunity to experience tourism on your St Albans or Harpenden doorstep, from magical studio tours and stunning stately home  visits, private cathedral tours, close encounters with wild animals, to thrilling white water or high wire experiences.
Herts Big Weekend forms part of the national English Tourism Week celebrations to promote Hertfordshire through the county’s biggest advocates the people who live here. A huge variety of Hertfordshire tourist attractions will be opening their doors or offering special gifts to lucky ticket holders on 1st and 2nd April. Herts residents can apply for as many tickets for the events as they like at www.hertsbigweekend.co.uk from 9th February to 3rd March.
Some of the county’s biggest attractions have signed up, including St Albans Cathedral, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Rye House Kart Raceway, Paradise Wildlife Park, Knebworth House, Hatfield Park Farm, The XC, Willows Activity Farm, Vertigo Adventures, Lee Valley White Water Centre, Lee Valley Park Farms, Natural History Museum Tring, Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation and Henry Moore Studios & Gardens.
In 2016 the event had over 13,000 ticket applications for hundreds of tickets and experiences donated by nearly 50 tourism businesses.
