Harpenden Books joins St Albans Waterstones family

Harpenden Books may have become a new addition to the Waterstones family but it still feels very local. Harpenden Books is a well-loved dedicated local bookshop in the heart of Harpenden’s thriving community. Like so many of the town's businesses, they aim to serve the local community with good knowledgeable service. Harpenden Books still offers a relaxed, browser-friendly environment and, above all, an outstanding range of books.
Harpenden Books may be a bit smaller than a standard Waterstones, but they are exceptionally well stocked. They also host events like the book signing planned for Saturday 17th March 2018. At 2.30pm, at Harpenden Books, 48 High Street, Harpenden, AL5 2SX, local Author Guy Jones will be signing his brilliant debut novel: Book Signing: The Ice Garde by Guy Jones

The Ice Garden is suitable for ages 9+. It is all about Jess who is allergic to the sun. “She lives in a world of shadows and hospitals, peeking at the other children in the playground from behind curtains. One night she sneaks out to explore the empty playground she's longed to visit, where she discovers a beautiful impossibility: a magical garden made of ice.”

If you want an even better-stocked bookshop you do not have far to go to find the Waterstones in St Albans. It offers two-floors stocked with a range of literary delights and is popular with the locals and with visitors to St Alban's. On the ground floor, you’ll find the latest and bestselling titles and the Children's section. Both are lovingly run by experienced booksellers who delight in helping you find the right books for your needs.
Harpenden Books may have joined the Waterstones family but it still feels like your local bookshop dedicated to offering a full selection of books and experience of books. Giving Harpenden that cosmopolitan feel but helping it maintain the village feel that has made the town so popular.
