Fireworks Saturday 4th November 2017

Remember, remember Sat 4th November, ok so we know it is the 5th but this year most firework events due to take place in St Albans and Harpenden will be held on Saturday 4th.
If you enjoy the huge St Albans Cathedral annual Firework Spectacular in Verulamium Park you will probably already know it is the largest public display in the south of England. The Cathedral stay involved so that this pyrotechnic 25minute display plus food and drink continues to be organised in aid of local charities. To take part you need to be at Verulamium Park, St Albans, AL3 4 in time for the display at 7.30pm St Albans Firework Display

If you or more particularly your young ones are not so keen on such a large event you can still enjoy the atmosphere and plenty of pyrotechnic fun at smaller events like the fireworks at Crabtree Schools Playing Field, Crabtree Lane, Harpenden, AL5 5PU. Their event runs from 6-9pm and their display last about 20 mins and will be firing closer to 6.30pm. Crabtree Fireworks Spectacular

Crabtree fields, Waldegrave park, Harpenden are a fantastic public resource.  It’s an open space used for informal spots and some groups like the Scouts who occupy adjoining premises. The land is relatively level with good disabled access. There is parking next to it that remains in the District Council's ownership but will be available for public use. Whatever scale of Hertfordshire firework event you choose for yourself and your family stay safe.
