February fun in St Albans

There is plenty of fun to be had in February in and around St Albans and Harpenden. One of the cutest farm events of the year is held at Willows Activity Farm between 16th-24th February 2019. Despite their website puns there really is “plenty of fleecy fun” to be had with plenty of activities for the whole family at Willows farm February Frolics.

Visitors to the St Albans farm can watch as the smallest members of the flock arrive supervised by Tuck the Shepherd. There are also daily new-born lamb bottle feeding demonstrations in the Willows lambing marquee. All part of a “full day’s programme of fleecy fun for a baa-brilliant day out,” they say.

In addition to the lambing and bottle feeding demonstrations, there are plenty of arts and crafts held in the Busy Bee Marquee and seasonal Peter Rabbit and Friends shows. The winter fun also goes on with ice skating on the magical synthetic ice rink if you have not managed to make it to any real ice rinks this winter.

If the weather really is not good there is some indoor play for smaller guests to Willows Farm. A trip to Cotton-Tail Village or Woolly Jumpers Play Barn will offer some imaginative, indoor play, and an opportunity to meet some smaller animal friends including goats, guinea pigs and rabbits in the Farmyard.

It is easy to get tickets online but they must be bought up to midnight before the day of your visit.  Advance online tickets cannot be used on the day of purchase.  February Frolics tickets are valid for use once on any date during the event period of the event is from the 16th -24th of February 2019 so you do not need to choose a specific date to visit in advance. Under 2's are free and do not need an online ticket.
