Celebrating Live Music in St Albans

There is nothing like live music and The Live Music Project has been delivering some great live music recently but nothing will get peoples feet tapping faster that a bit of Rockabilly and that’s what’s in store for the Live Music Project’s first event of 2017 on Saturday 28 January - Their headliners are The Deltas. The Live Music Project has now been running for over two years and it champions local original bands & artists giving them a professional platform in which to perform. This event is run by Community Champion Denise Parsons as a volunteer/community project.
The Deltas hale from St Albans and were first formed in 1980. Their unique blend of high-power Rockabilly, Blues and pure Rock`n´Roll energy still attracts both Psychobilly and Rockabilly followings all over the world. “The Deltas were the wildest of the new breed of Rockabilly bands which took the scene by storm in the early 1980s, prior to the birth of Psychobilly. Along with The Polecats, Restless, The Shakin’ Pyramids and The Bluecats, The Deltas returned the youthful energy that had been missing from Rockabilly music since it first erupted in the mid 1950’s.”
At The Trestle Arts Base on the 28th January 2017 The Deltas will be supported by one of Harpenden’s finest bands, the Hubcap Moon, who have been described as “Boot stompin-beer swillin-country rockin-bluegrass senserious folk-punkabilly nonsense!” sounds like a lot of fun to blast away any January Blues! Doors 8pm Tickets £10.00 ADV or £12.00 on the door.
