Weekends are always busy in Harpenden but on Sunday 24th November 2019 between 12 noon - 6 pm will keep you particularly busy with the Harpenden Christmas Carnival and Farmer's market on Bowers Parade, High Street, Harpenden, AL5 2SH. There is a lot on offer so you will be able to be busy all day sorting out some of your Harpenden Christmas shopping as well as the opportunity to pop in and sample some free mince pies and mulled wine in our Frost’s Harpenden branch between 3 pm until 5 pm.
The festivities will include the usual monthly Harpenden Farmers' Market from noon which is being extended until 6 pm for the occasion. Then there is also the fun of Henry Harris Funfair, the Main Stage for some local performers and there will be, stilt-walkers and another walk about entertainment going on. The Harpenden Young Enterprise Trade Fair will also be up and running and the much-anticipated Harpenden Procession which will make its way down Sun lane, along the High Street and up Vaughan Road from 3 pm.
There will also be a Christmas Market in Park Hall Leyton Road, Harpenden, AL5 2LX which has been called the Harpenden Collective Boutique Christmas Market from 12 - 5 pm. They will be open so you can shop at local independent, boutique Harpenden shops this Christmas, with The Harpenden Collective. You can just turn up no ticket is required.
In addition to doing your shopping, there is a Christmas Emergency Services Day in the Fire Station between 1 - 5 pm. As part of the Harpenden Christmas Carnival, your Harpenden Emergency Services will be opening for the first-ever Christmas Emergency Services Open Day at Harpenden Fire Station. This free event will include getting to know officers and vehicles from Hertfordshire Constabulary,
Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue, St Johns Ambulance, Herts Boat Rescue, Herts Blood Bikes, Luton Airport Police Dog Section, Neighbourhood Watch and many more. This will be a Harpenden Carnival day to remember keeping the whole family busy.
