Back to routine in St Albans

January is one of those dark months when it is all too easy to want to withdraw from the world. But if you have little ones you will know that is not an option. Thankfully in St Albans and Harpenden there are a host of activities for small people not least Tots Tales at Verulamium Museum.

There are regular events at Verulamium Museum, St Michael's Street, St Albans AL3 4SW for those interested in lifelong learning young or old.  Next Wednesday 10th January 2018 at 10.30-11.30, 11.45-12.45 and 13.30 - 14.30 you can join the museum staff for a story, some craft activity and a museum hunt inspired by Kipper's Snowy Day by Mick Inkpen. This activity is for younger children aged 2 – 4 years, accompanied by an adult.

If you are not aware of Mick Inkpen he is an award-winning author and illustrator who is best known for his characters Kipper and Wibbly Pig. His books have sold millions of copies. Kipper first made an appearance in 1989’s The Blue Balloon. Mick used to write a comic strip for the Sunday Express with Nick Butterworth of Percy the Park Keeper fame! Kipper and Percy are sure to bring a smile to any small persons face.

Extra sessions have been added to this day due to popular demand so please book in advance either in person at Verulamium Museum or by phone 01727 751810. The cost is £3.00 per child. If you miss this event look out for more as there is plenty to enjoy at St Albans Museum.
