Our Culture

As a small, well established company with four branches Frost's have a close family feel and that extends to the way our staff are treated. Here you can be sure you will be treated with respect and as an adult, your views are important.

There is a limited hierarchy and in keeping with our brand of openness and transparency, there are very few secrets about what’s happening and we consult and involve staff with where we're going.

We compete hard, we expect people to give 100% for their customer and the team. We're proud of our professionalism and commitment to be the best, we believe we can win and believe in constant evolution; we are always looking for and talking about how to succeed and push to the next level.

We also understand we all make a few mistakes and that's ok as long as we are honest and learn. If you make a mistake we work hard to put it right and then when the dust settles we reflect and find a 'system or procedural fix' to avoid this happening again.

Our Leadership

Our Managing Director; Dan Kirk has over 20 years of experience and is still very much front line in running the business whilst reviewing staff careers. He understands that the success of the business is directly linked by the quality and engagement of all staff and works hard to provide a supportive management structure where managers act as mentors to their team to encourage the best to shine.

Each month all members of staff have a one-to-one with their line manager where performance is discussed, and a monthly skills enhancement development plan is agreed to support all staff (even star performers) reach the next level.

On an annual basis, Dan meets with each member of staff to review their career aspirations, training and development.

Training & Development

Frost's have documented their systems and processes as well as the guiding  philosophy and values into the 'Frost's Way'. This is provided to new starters on induction and helps us all understand what it takes to be successful in our careers at Frosts. As discussed in the 'Leadership' section there are monthly meetings, key skill development plans and annual appraisals.

In addition to this we are big supporters of NFOPP, and in 2016 we were shortlisted in their 'Employer Qualifications Ambassadors Awards'. All of our Lettings and Property Managers are incentivised to obtain ARLA 3 qualifications by a £500 bonus; we also pay all costs and on going ARLA membership.

For high performers the company provides a management development course called 'Leadership Pathway' and other courses are available on our on-line learning platform - Learning Matters.

We also use external trainers, most notably acknowledged industry experts 'Sales Doctors' to make sure we are at the top of our game.

Rewards and Benefits

Frost's sales and lettings packages comprise of a competitive basic plus tiered commission which allows top performers to earn above average rewards. Performance is also recognised by instant bonuses (e.g a sales negotiator with 10 net sales in the month, will receive £250 the same month) in addition to the commission received on bankings. There is a car allowance of £300 PCM and other commission based benefits. The holiday scheme includes 20 days holiday plus your birthday and 4 other days taken over the Christmas period as well as statutory holidays and long term service. Frosts also have a range of other benefits that you can apply for through our 'Choice Matters' scheme.

Frost's operate a Star Performer competition with sister companies and winners have won luxury trips and days out. Frost’s Star Performers have been to Malta, Budapest, Lisbon and Malta and another three members of staff will be heading to Krakow, Poland this June.

Staff packages are reviewed annually to ensure consistency and fairness and we take external input from recruitment agencies to ensure we remain competitive in the market place which contributes to our retention strategy.

We are keen to emphasise the social side of our business and organise two events annually for staff this includes an annual Christmas event and a Summer Party.
